The Rimu trip was everything I expected and more. I specifically chose your company based on how you organize your trips. I simply showed up and all was taken care of. The small group dynamic, multiple choices at each destination, short bus stages, etc. allowed me to simply enjoy the natural beauty of New Zealand. Your logistic planning rivals that of the military. At no point did I see the bus being fueled or the guides purchasing food. Yet, this was obviously happening. Your planning afforded the guests time to focus on their own interests. Although these items made the trip enjoyable, the best asset you have is your guides. Both Dave and Melissa are awesome guides. Their positive and fun attitude continued throughout the entire trip. They pushed us when necessary, yet supported us when necessary. Their knowledge of New Zealand is great. They created a family atmosphere and all guests got along — and this is rare for group dynamics. Melissa is an outstanding chef. Although we were exercising regularly, I gained weight. I could not pass on seconds. Leg of lamb, venison, fresh salmon, pavlova, etc. the quality and preparation rivals that of a 4-star restaurant. If/when I take another trip to New Zealand, I will be requesting to join Dave and Melissa’s group! In addition to Dave and Melissa, Sean, the sea kayaking guide, was equally great. I understand you outsource this portion of the adventure. I recommend you continue to use this company. Their standards are consistent with your company. If I was not told Sean worked for a subcontractor, I would not have suspected. In all, I would repeat the Marlborough Sound sea kayaking option. I will recommend your company to others. I understand you run trips in South America, and I will be contacting you when I plan a trip there. Thanks for the experience
