Only one regret regarding our travels in NZ: the trip ended far too fast. Two week sounds like quite a bit of time, but the sights, sounds, tastes & fragrances just went far too fast. Our two guides were great; friendly, humorous & knowledgeable, helpful without "hovering". The trip included the right mix of challenge and creature comforts to allow a feeling of adventure, with comfort at day's end. Both of us have enjoyed the Inca Trail in Peru and this trip, with the Milford Track included, compares favourably. Looking for outdoor adventure with some creature comforts? Active NZ should be where to look!

This trip was fabulous! It was truly the adventure of a lifetime. Our guides, DK, Gokul, and Sudip, took excellent care of us and made the trip even more fun. They really went above and beyond, and so did our wonderful porters. They always had a smile and could not have been kinder or more helpful. The scenery was amazing and it was a dream come true to make it to Base Camp. I highly recommend it, but make sure you prepare by doing lots of stairs!

I loved the Kauri trip, it was so different from the Rimu. It's hard to believe we packed so much into five days and still we seemed to do it effortlessly. Kate and Lina had wonderful way of making sure we got the best out of each day and catered to our every need.

The weather gods smiled down upon us as we hiked, biked and paddled our way around the South Island. Our guides, Amelia and Mel, made sure things ran smoothly while providing lots of fun facts and laughs along the way. The plentiful food was super yummy, scenery was stellar and I truly felt like part of a family. Thanks for an amazing adventure - it certainly was the trip of a lifetime.

My Jaguar trip to Peru with Active South America was a trip I had dreamed of since childhood. From my early years when my mother would drop me off at the library while she ran errands, I was always drawn to the books that contained information on this mysterious world that was Peru!! Of course Machu Picchu was always the biggest mystery of all, the jungle, the people, the wildlife, and the Andes mountains were just mesmerizing to me. A place with our meager means that I would most likely never see. But at 48 years of age, here I was experiencing the amazing, the unbelievable. Every step of the trip was just a new wonder. Even before I reached Machu Picchu, I was in awww of the experience. This trip is the trip that will never be forgotten, it just isn't possible to get those memories out of my mind, there really is no way to separate myself from the experience and those whom I shared it with!!

The Galapagos are everything you'd hope them to be - absolutely magical. I was stunned by the variety of wildflife I saw and was especially thrilled to get up close and personal to both sea lions and turtles whilst snorkelling. And seeing giant tortoises in the wild was a privilege.

Our guides / chefs were awesome, the weather was excellent, the sites gorgeous, the activities were challenging (especially the hike to Angeles) but we survived and enjoyed them. Highlights were the food, the Nelson Lake trek, and the approach to and time in Milford Sound.

The guides DK, Sudeep and Gocul were great. All went out of their way to help make this trip as good as possable. Come prepared. You can not be too fit for this Active trip.

WOW! WOW! WOW! This was a wonderful trip from start to finish. Active South America is well named... Lots to do, see and experience. I learned to snorkel!! Our tour guide Pepo was friendly, helpful and kind to everyone. He made sure that everyone was able to participate safely AND happily at whatever skill level they had. His deep love and respect for his Galápagos Islands home was apparent during every activity and conversation the group had with him. I would recommend the Active South America to anyone wanting a holiday that involves them totally... mind, body and soul. Well done, Active South America! WOW! WOW! WOW!

Trip of a lifetime doesn't even begin to describe our Active South America Tour!!! The trip absolutely exceeded any and ALL expecations I had going in. The activities were extremely well organized and allowed us to truly experience the Galapagos! You weren't just on a trip looking at stuff and taking pictures, this trip allowed us all to become part of the Galapagos. We were kept busy every day, but not to the point of exhaustion :) The variety of activities was fantastic allowing us to bike, hike, snorkel and kayak in some of the most spectacular scenery I've ever seen!
Of course people go to the Galapagos to experience the beauty of the area and appreciate the uniqueness of the islands and how valuable they are just as I di, but few go in expecting the guide to be one of the best highlights of the entire adventure. I have been lucky enough to travel around the world and I have never in my life been absolutely blown away by a guide like I was in Galapagos. The way Pepo spoke of the islands and how passionate he was about making sure we all not only visited but experienced where he was from was evident from the very first things he said to us. It is clear how much he loves where he is from and how much he loves sharing his love with the rest of the world. He took amazing care of us and made sure we all had the trip of a lifetime. His enjoyment and enthusiasm was infectious and we all learned a lot from Pepo and we were all sad to say Goodbye.
In short, the trip to the Galapagos would not have been the same without Pepo and his Super Plan!!!
I'm already planning a return to Galapagos and I will make sure it is with Active South America and with Pepo!!!
