Even though the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in itself is an experience, I will never forget that without Active Adventures it wouldn't have been quite the same. We had the most knowledgeable guides and we were all treated like one big family. Cynthia was fantastic; it was if we had known her all our lives. Because of Cynthia I would consider doing another trip to South America with Active Adventures.

"If the trip is as good as the pre-travel customer service, these vacations will be amazing" was my thought before boarding the plane. Well, Active Adventures New Zealand team Jacks and Loren managed to surpass my highest expectations. I really hope I can go back. What an amazing trip in every sense; food, adventures, and fun.

Strangely, hiking the Himalayas had never made it onto my list of must-see places but I signed up because of an email and I have really enjoyed my Active trips in the past. Now that I've been I think it is a place everyone should see; the mountain range will take your breath away and the people of Nepal literally welcome you with open arms.

We loved our Tui trip. We covered most of the South Island with Ken leading the way. We hiked (tramped), biked and kayaked in your beautiful country. Haast Pass had been closed due to weather so Ken changed our trip and we saw a few places not on the itinerary including a hike in an abandoned gold mine filled with glow worms. One highlight was sea kayaking in Milford Sound with two Fiordland crested penguins.

I have used Active before and for a trek as challenging as AST, I couldn't have selected better. Truly a life changing trip and our guides Kate and Sudip made a tough trek just pure fun :) Truly the trip of a lifetime!

We really had great time! Lauren and Jacs were wonderful with my 14 year old daughter! They provided encouragement to her throughout the trip and she was able to accomplish tasks that I would never have been able to get her to do (e.g. bike ride and cold water!) They provided a wonderful energy to each day that was infectious! We hope to return for another adventure!

When we met our group the first night, our guide Kate said "You came for the mountains, and I hope you leave with the people."
Well...the mountains were incredible and the people even more so! It was an amazing trip.

This trip was phenomenal. The activities were great. The main guide was wonderful, easy to work with, and extremely helpful. The individual activity guides were also very friendly and knowledgeable. Every trip detail was very well thought out. For example, on our travel day from Cuzco to Puno, they brought bicycles along so we could bike some of the track instead of sitting in the van for six hours. The trip was perfectly balanced between activities and free/relaxation time. We also learned a lot about Peruvian culture and history, much more than we expected. All in all, an incredible trip.

Peru was an amazing country and seeing it on the Jaguar trip was great! Cynthia our guide, was awesome. She was informative, easy to get along with, and definitely had a passion for what she does. The activities we did were fun, all the food we ate was delicious, and I can't speak highly enough about the trip! We also happened to have a really fun, and easy going group, which added to the experience.
