This trip had a lot of variety. It had great hikes every other day, which prepared us well for the Rimu backpacking trip on the South Island. We also mountain biked and went caving. Our guides were energetic and friendly, and always made us feel right at home.

This trip was absolutely amazing! It's hard to describe in a few words, but I must say that although I was challenged everyday, I would do it all again in a heartbeat. Active, true, with a feeling that you've seen quite a bit of New Zealand; leaves you thirsting for more.

The Rimu Trip was truly an epic experience! Even though I was traveling solo it felt as if I were apart of a big family enjoying our adventures together and creating memories. Ken and Amanda were spectacular guides. Trip was absolutely golden and I can't wait to go on another!

This was the best trip we have had. I'm sure there was no activity or adventure we didn't jump into. The organization left nothing to chance and Ken and Amanda were professional but warm and friendly.

What a wonderful way to see the South Island. The 3-day hike was exhilarating and a highlight of my trip... crazy weather including snow at the top... but it all made it such a great adventure! Ben and Cristine were fabulous!

Our exploration of the South Island of New Zealand was an excellent overview of the what this great country has to offer the outdoor enthusiast. We covered a lot of country in a van, but it was interspersed with great outdoor adventures and activities. Kate and Nick are excellent guides and became an integral part of our group very quickly. They made sure our introduction to New Zealand was a memorable one. The treks, biking and kayaking were great ways to get off the beaten path and not compete for position with others enjoying the NZ outdoors. The meals Nick and Kate prepared were outstanding. After completing our trip, I knew I would need to return someday so my wife could experience NZ as well.

Unique Adventure. The Galapogas Islands are an absolute must for anyone travelling through South America. Each Island has a unique array of sights & animals, with the diving/snorkelling with turtles/sharks/rays etc our favourite part. Active Tours run a very professional tour that includes everything from start to finish: don't look anywhere else, just book with Active & make sure you ask for Pepo as your guide as he is a legend

Asked by customs if I liked New Zealand, I told him it was grand. He remarked that he would put me on the list to come back! Our guides Lauren and Dan on the February 3rd Tui trip were patient, knowledgeable, and humorous. They were resourceful and made the trip run smoothly even when liquid sunshine and gusty winds played havoc with the schedule. Our group of twelve could have won a congeniality contest any day. New Zealand is truly the land of sheep, snow-capped mountains, streams-braided, swaying ferns, and sand flies and I loved every minute of our Tui adventure... even though we wimped out of the full cycling adventure, we enjoyed cheering everyone else on to the finish line and some icy treats! The meals, accommodation, activities, schedule, and personnel exceeded my expectations - Good Job!!!!

We had a great time on our trip. New Zealand is a beautiful country and the hikes were just right. Mel and Dave were wonderful guides and really enhanced all aspects of our trip. We felt so cared for by them - wonderful food, great driving, very entertaining and informative, flexible and unflapable. They are a great asset to your company.

This trip was spectacular, particularly the Nelson Lakes hiking and the Milford Sound kayaking. We had great support from Ben and Amanda and they made the whole trip enjoyable, as did our traveling companions who all were friendly and fun!

This was the best trip I've ever taken. New Zealand is incredibly beautiful and diverse and it just keeps coming. Our Guides, D.K. and Amelia were fantastic, filling us in on everything from local flora, geo-history, evolution, and local legends to a reverent explanation of Maori culture and heritage. The trip was incredibly well-planned with absolutely magnificent choices of trails and tracks to explore. The "active" in Active New Zealand was no joke as we were on the go Monday through Friday with a nice break over the weekend in Queenstown. We had a large group and the chemistry worked. We all cheered on Daniel, who took his bucket list Bungy Jump at the world's first commercial bungy jumping bridge. We biked, kayaked and hiked together and ate and drank like there was no tomorrow (one of the benefits of all the activity). I can't recommend this tour enough - I will remember it forever. Thanks D.K., Amelia and Active NZ.

This trip was amazing. Each hike/kayak/cycle was incredible and showcased a gorgeous part of NZ. The group got along so well and our guides were fantastic. They made everyone feel like they were part of a big family, as well as were extremely informed about the surrounding environment.

This trip was everything I had hoped for. My husband and I are in our mid sixties and we love hiking, biking and being outside in nature. Active NZ gave us the opportunity to see and do more than we could possibly have done on our own. The Tui trip was challenging, but we were able to participate in all the activities fairly easily. Christina and Ben work very well together. Christina is very warm and outgoing and she kept us fed and organized. Ben worked very hard managing logistics and he kept us laughing with his stories and his dry sense of humor.
