One of the best trips I have ever been on! Well organized, beautiful places to visit and stay, super active itinerary, friendly and knowledgeable guides ... I felt like I was part of a big fun group of friends traveling around and seeing the highlights of the South Island. The right mix of back roads and tourist jaunts, it was fabulous.

The Rimu was a delightful eyeful. We visited many wonderful places. I will go back and spend more time at several of them. The Nelson Lakes backpack was the highlight. Amanda and Ben were superb guides. They were very well prepared, energetic and always on time.

Our leader, Huw, could't have been better. Not only did he doctor me from an injury on a trip prior to my Nepal trek, he also doctored me back up when I wasn't feeling so hot from the altitude. And Sudip, our local guide was just as fantastic. The trip as a whole was SO wonderful and fun!! The group even pulled out all the stops and surprised me with thoughtful balloons and a birthday cake all the way in the Himalayas for my birthday. I felt like I was with family that I had known forever. I couldn't possibly think of a thing that could have made it better than it was. THANK YOU ACTIVE!!

Our Rimu trip was stunning at every turn and full of adventure. It was no mistake that we saw the brightest single and double rainbows I've ever seen. Apparently the end of a rainbow does not contain a pot of gold, but rather the Rimu trip, which was even better. Our group was fantastic and Jacs and DK (aka Mom and Dad) couldn't have been more fun, enthusiastic and helpful guides. The forests were magical and I can't think of anything as cute as the little seal that kept pausing below me in the water to check me out with those huge, adorable eyes as I was doing the same. What a unique and beautiful trip! I can't wait to go back.

Active Adventures came recommended by several people, and they didn't disappoint. From start to finish our guides, Daniel and Jackson, and Sally took good care of us - they are great ambassadors for your company. Both went out of their way to make our trip a memorable one. The trip itself is well planned in its pace and activity and flexibility to accommodate the varying people in the group - it helped of course that the group was smaller than normal. Your front office staff were also very helpful and prompt in responding to my questions and requests. Our bus developed 'mechanical problems' outside Queenstown, and it was a pleasure to see how the other staff in your company responded very quickly and efficiently, and we barely noted the disruption. I will be recommending your company to any of my friends who plan to visit New Zealand or South America.

The Rimu trip exceeded all of my expectations. I had an amazing time with my fellow travelers and our guides Duck and Sarah! They rocked! I traveled solo and felt super comfortable and at ease the entire time. The activities were fun, some more difficult than others... all in all a nice balance. New Zealand is a special place, memories to last a life time!

My Jaguar trip with Active Adventures was a truly unique experience and one that I will always remember fondly. The trip was active, but allowed for some rest days to reset between activities. The trek to Machu Picchu was incredible and we were fortunate to have little rain even though it was the beginning of the rainy season. I enjoyed the interactions with the local people and being immersed in the culture with the stay with the local family on Lake Titikaka. I highly recommend this adventure to anyone who wants to experience the beauty and culture of Peru.

The trip was very well organised and executed. I thought Sebastian did a marvelous and skilled job. There were a few things that didn't go as planned/desired and he handled these situations very well. He's also very proud of Chile and to be Chilean. It showed and added to the experience that he wanted us to have admiring the best of Chile.
