What an amazing trip! Our guides, DK and Jacs, were so passionate and organised and made this trip so much fun. The places we visited were just mind blowing, with every day producing multiple postcard-worthy scenes. Trip of a lifetime!

Condor trip is and will be always an outstanding destination, regardless of weather winds and all... for nature there speaks volumes but to have had such excellent guides, namely Cynthia and Jayd made this trip all the more unique... man they really infuse energy and vibration on every moment of our hike, come rain or shine or very strong winds for that matter. We had a wonderful time together all along our " enterprise " the group was small and united and the mood was always good...thank you all.

Ben and Cristina are a fantastic team - friendly, accommodating of everyone's needs and extremely knowledge about NZ. The trip was well organised and everything ran smoothly. I doubt we could have found the daily destinations or packed as many miles into a trip if we did a self-drive. The food was delicious and plentiful. We had a mix of ages traveling on the tour and we all enjoyed listening to each others traveling stories.

Really enjoyed this fast paced trip around the North Island . Thanks to Lauren and Dave who fed us very well and kept me going on my first hike on a very humid day. They also arranged a good alternative walk as Tongoriro park was closed because of the volcanic activity.

My first moments in Nepal were surreal, a strange language, a strange currency, traffic unlike anything I've experienced - complete sensory overload. As I gained my bearings, this feeling quickly changed. If you are expecting a westernized country with all the comforts of home, you won't find it here. If you want a different experience, with tremendous scenery, friendly people, and a place which treats all guests with appreciation and respect, Nepal is where you want to be.

I was telling friends about the tour, they were surprised that we had seen and done all these things in just two weeks. Highly recommendable, I will definitely be back!

It was a relief not to have to plan anything and to know that our guide Arturo had it all under control. I felt that the trip logistics were really well thought out and gave us a good sampling of the area and of activities.

I really enjoyed the trip with the many variety of activities planned. Both Lauren and Amanda were very professional and personal in their approach. While I find the price a bit steep, it is kind of compensated by the top-notch service provided by them. I am impressed with their cooking/cutlery skills too. The farm stay was beautiful but I was looking forward to more activities like sheep rearing etc instead of just a night stay. Maybe this can be incorporated into future trips. Overall I enjoyed very much. Thank you

Having just completed a great North Island tour I did not think that Rimu could compete. But it outshone the Kauri trip. What a beautiful island. The trip was longer so there was more opportunity for the group to get to know each other. The guides were exceptional. Food was sensational. We had a lot of fun.

Absolutely amazing! The perfect combination of unsurpased scenery, fresh air, and physical activity blended masterfully with just the right amount of local flavor and laughter. Ben and Nick couldn't have done anything more to ensure we got the most out of every minute. The days my daughter and I spent adventuring in New Zealand with you will provide a lifetime of shared memories and a deep understanding of what a true "get away" should be.

What's next? Travel is an addiction and usually the more remote, the better but Tui was tops for everyone and everywhere (except that 2-3 weeks of NZ would be 3X more amazing of course). The variety is absolutely stunning: mountains, glaciers, rivers (braided even, a new concept), lakes, farms, oceans, beaches, wildlife, just a super-abundance of breathtaking scenery that photos don't begin to capture. Instead of the usual race to review pics on returning, it has been so tough because it makes me wish so much to be back and they are pretty, but just not the same as being there. The funniest thing I tell friends is about the text message the night before kayaking Milford Sound when the rain was coming down hard, telling a friend here in the states that I was skipping the kayak outing because of the dreary weather (the ONLY ugly day the whole time BTW). Next morning, I drag tail down and gear up, thinking the whole time that this could be the longest 4 hours of my life. What do you know--45 min later, the sun is out, we have a penguin, seals and finally, DOLPHINS jumping around. Jumping up and down in a kayak is a bad idea but you get the idea. Finally the feeling of looking up and up and up for a mile to the tip of Mitre Peak and miles more down the sound to the waterfall and realizing just how magical a place this is and how tiny you are was boggling. Every single person in our group got it, the guides get it, the whole Kiwi population gets it and is so generous and happy to share. I'll be back, with friends.

Two weeks trekking, bussing, kayaking and various other modes of movement through spectacular scenery provided us with one of the most diverse fortnights of our lives. From basking in the southern sun savouring a lovely lunch in Puerto Natales to being swept up in a sudden snowstorm on the W we felt we truly were able to get a taste of this vast and unique part of the world.

Nothing can prepare you for the massiveness of the Himalayas. Standing at Annapurna Base Camp and gazing up at the mountain range in front of you is nothing short of awe-inspiring - these mountains are huge! - and Active brings you right to them.

A phenomenal way to see that varying landscapes of the South Island. The food and service was great, and the selected logding focused on the most important amenity -- location.

The South Island's Rimu trip leaves the Kauri trip in the dust. The natural features of the South Island, particularly the Southern Alps and the West Coast, and the huge areas of wilderness, just have so much more to offer that it would be difficult not to find activities to fit everyone's desires and tastes. Highlights were kayaking on Okarito Lagoon and Milford Sound; the backpack to Lakehead Hut in Nelson Lakes National Park; mountain biking from Lake Hawea to Lake Wanaka; the hikes on the Routebourn Track and Keplar Track; and the two nights at Braemar Station with the visit to Mount Cook. The view of the Southern Alps from Braemar Station is just knock-your-socks-off stupendous!

We began our New Zealand trip on the North Island with the Kauri trip, then moved to the South Island for the Rimu trip. Kauri was our introduction to Mike T and Jacs (Jaclyn) who would be with us for the next 3 weeks. I think it was key to the success of the trip that we had the same guides for both trips - our entire time in New Zealand. From the moment they greeted us at Auckland Airport, Mike and Jacs were attentive to all the trip details, our individual needs (illness, bad knees, dietary, etc.), and giving us the very best experience they could. Mike and Jacs are very proud of New Zealand and loved showing it off to us. Jacs kept the snack basket well-stocked and that was important on days with long drives. Her menus for the dinners that she cooked for us were outstanding and a great introduction to Kiwi cuisine. The highlight of the Kauri trip for me, and I think the rest of our group, was the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. We felt very lucky to have been able to complete the hike when seismic activity caused the track to be closed the next day, and then Te Maari Crater erupted a week later! Dave and Lisa with Planet Bike provided great teaching and support for the Whakarewarea Forest mountain biking. Single track riding isn't my favorite activity but I gave it a whirl. Blackwater rafting in the Waitomo Caves was the unique and memorable experience of both the week and our entire New Zealand trip.
