Where do I begin? There are not enough adjectives to describe our Rimu adventure. This was a trip of a lifetime! Everything was beyond spectacular. Your country is beautiful…from the snow-capped mountains to the pristine lakes to the driftwood-lined beaches.
Our tour guides, Ele and Tim, went above and beyond in their guiding duties. They were patient and caring, especially since my age and fitness level was very different from the rest of our group—I was definitely challenged! Ele’s meals were so delicious. I felt like I was being served a meal in a fine restaurant just about every night with our own personal chef.
The three other couples in our group were hilarious. We had such a good time with them; they added so much to our trip. You did a great job in choosing the people we would be spending two weeks of our vacation with.
The accommodations were quaint and charming, each in their own way. My favorite place was Braemar Station because of the spectacular views. I thought I was in The Sound of Music with the snow-capped mountains, the rolling hills of grass, and the lake—absolutely beautiful.
There is just one thing I hated—the sand flies. I still have welts as reminders of their furious bite. I know you cannot control them, but if that is the only negative, and it is, you did an outstanding job!!!
It’s obvious you have done this trip 14 years. The organization was impeccable. I would highly recommend Active New Zealand to anyone. It ranks as one of my best vacations ever. Because of all the above, we are already looking into other tours you sponsor. Thank you for a fabulous two weeks! We will carry these memories with us for the rest of our lives.
