Hi! I am really very happy to have done Tui and Kauri trips recently. Fantastic trips. I had a great time walking, hiking, cycling and kayaking in your beautiful country. Tim, Alexis and Grant were perfect guides. Very helpful and always smiling. I am looking forward to do more trips with Active New Zealand. Thanks a lot for great management.

Hi, My trip to Peru (Jaguar trip) and Galapagos (Tortugua trip) were EXCELLENT from all points of view. 1- great guiding 2- great exploration 3- great ACTIVE rhythm 4- great group dynamic and I should say that the staff, mainly Sally (Jaguar trip), care a lot. At beginning because of the altitude with a negative physical reaction I ended up dehydrated, in addition I lost my luggage. The Cusco staff of Active and Sally took very good care of me and what could had been disastrous turn up to be great. I owe much to Sally. Muchas gracias. I wish I would be thirty years less! The Galapagos part was more smooth, mind you I had much difficulty with the snorkeling at first. I received the proper help and guiding. I have learned to love snorkeling. At Galapagos Pablo and Ted and the office staff (a young women) were very nice people. Pablo was also very knowledgeable. Nothing but the best! I am working at Parks Canada as a guide interpreter and I can recognize competent people in the field of guiding. I am coming back with the strong impression that Active South America and its staff is a responsible company which has something great to offer. Ciao

A really super way of seeing a lot in a short period of time. A great blend of activities and it was so neat to see and be able to do so much and have someone else do all the driving and arranging.

Mix 12 people from 5 different countries for 2 weeks, visiting some of the most stunning landscapes in NZ - and the result? Some lifelong memories and friendships.

I loved the mix of activities (tried mountain biking, gave the shorts to Elle, won't try it again!), coupled with the mix of nationalities. It was a brilliant group of people. Had been worried about the age of rest of group, but no need, perhaps you could include a senior in your brochure it might give us more confidence.) The guides were superb; informative, helpful and good cooks! I need to go on a diet now. The Tongariro Crossing was wonderful, and not as difficult as expected. I loved the black water rafting, no-one at home believed that I was going into a cave in a wetsuit and rubber ring, they'd all have walked or gone in a boat. Wow, after the initial terror it was awesome. See, I even picked up some of the language! Thank you all so much, I can't wait to come back to see the other side.

I can't believe I've done all those things. This really was a fantastic holiday. I'm trying to persuade my daughter to emigrate so I can tag along as child minder! Otherwise I have to come back to paraglide in Queenstown, and see all the other places I've missed. This holiday has ruined my to-do list. I didn't have a holiday for 20 years, so had planned to try to fit in all the places I'd like to visit, now I want to come back to NZ, which messes the whole thing up. Perhaps I can bring my grandson on the family holiday when he's old enough. Meanwhile when are you starting Active Japan?

This was a long-awaited trip to New Zealand, an adventure dreamt of but one that had been relegated to the travel books in the midst of a too-busy life. ACTIVE New Zealand trumped all those travel books. The 2 week RIMU trip was just awesome; being in the midst of such magical beauty in the forests and fjiords, beholding such silent, expansive majesty from atop ridge lines was life changing. The guides were fun, informative, responsive and all around fantastic and our tour group was simply the best ever!! Thanks you for making a "dream come true!"

I was satisfied with almost everything on the trip. Five people to one shower was a bit tricky, but we made do and overall had fun with it. I can't say enough about the guides (Dan and Kate) they did a superfluous job, kudos to both. I had a great time and would highly recommend it.

My wife and I were planning something special for our 25th wedding anniversary, and found Active New Zealand on the web. It sounded exactly like what we wanted, and we were not dissapointed. Dan was a friendly, helpful, and highly skilled guide. Active NZ will challenge you, and we did things we thought otherwise we would not have done; hiked (oops, tramped..sorry mates!) up to glaciers and thru forests to waterfalls, flew in a bush plane, rocketed down a river on a jetboat, and generally pushed ourselves beyond our self imposed limits. Queenstown was a blast; everyone there seems to be trying to see just how much they can terrify themselves with some new, extreme activity. The highlight was kayaking Milford Sound. It is absolutely awe inspiring. You feel so tiny and insignificant, floating in a tiny kayak, paddling silently while trying to drink in all the scenery. Large tour boats passing on the other side of the Sound look like bathtub toys in comparison to the rugged cliffs.

We had a wonderful time. NZ is a very special place; not just because of the spectacular scenery, but because of the people. Everywhere we went, the people were friendly, helpful, and decent folks. They really made the trip memorable. After fininshing up the Tui, it was on to Aukland and the Kauri trip. If anyone reading this is contemplating a trip to NZ, don't hesitate to ring up Active NZ and they will show you the real New Zealand. Oh, and don't forget...

    No worries, mate!

Pictures or words can't describe how beautiful New Zealand is. The people are great and fun. I loved all the waterfalls and being able to drink out of the streams because they were so clean. I would be great if everyone could visit New Zealand.

Every day's adventure was better and better. Everything was well planned, with enough flexibility to accomodate "gotchas". I was so proud of completing the Tongariro Alpine Crossing - it was a strenuous hike over amazing landscape. The day that really wrapped a smile around my head and had me picking bugs from my teeth was the mountain biking at Whakarewarewa Forest. The trails were amazing and the guides from Planet Bikes, A+. I kept a travel blog of my trip: A Southern Belle's Baedeker http://jennwray.travellerspoint.com/
