Your company does an incredible job of being very well organized, using our time, and logistics. Using local guides and families make the trip so much more personal. I think you have a great co. and would definitely use you again. Currently thinking about going to Nepal w. you.

I can't say enough good things about it. Peru is so beautiful. Sally was so knowledgeable and establishes such good relationships with all her clients and everyone she participates with. Everything was run right on time. All the activities and logistics were so well organized. I feel you go above and beyond in your service and will definately use you again for trips.

Tui was an awesome experience filled with energizing activities and breathtaking scenery. I saw and did so much! My guide loved every little thing about New Zealand so her passion and excitement seeped into every moment and made it special.

Just finished the 14-day Jaguar trip. What an awesome time we had. Everything was well organized and where it was supposed to be when it was supposed to be there. I have done 2 other "adventure tours" before and the activities, food and accommodations on this one were by far the best. Can't say enough great things about our leader and substitute mother, Sally. She arrived every day with a big smile and boat load of enthusiasm about the days activities and her countries marvels, history and culture. She was always looking out for us and like all good mothers, had eyes in the back of her head. She even knew when we snuck out of the hotel late to get one more Pisco Sour and watch the Peru / Paraguay football game with the locals. Despite the fact our group of 8 came from widely different backgrounds, and 4 of us came on our own, we connected instantly. Everyone looked out for each other and I now consider myself to have 7 new friends. We are already talking about new adventures together. Great Job Active South America and Sally.

Our Trip was great. Guide Yohn was very awesome. Food was fantastic. On and off the trail. I would take Alex our chef home if I could. On the second day of our itinerary, we cycled down Chachani volcano. This was not a gentle downhill as indicated on the itinerary. It was a very rough ride. I enjoyed it, but I was glad when I made it to the bottom without any broken bones. I did hit the ground and I was thankful I had knee pads on. Road was very rocky and rough. Both hikes were great. I enjoyed the Lares trail over the busy Inca trail. I understand there is a 5-day hike up to Machu Pichu that is less busy and you can take horses. After our hike, we had a day of rest at Cusco. Needed the day off so that was nice. I would have liked one extra day in the jungle to rest with nothing planned. Found it very relaxing. I would have passed on going to Puno /Lake Titicaca. Three weeks is a long time. I think I would have skipped this part and cut the trip to two weeks, but that is just me. All in all everything was fine. I was only sick one night with diarrhea and it was our very last night in Puno. Lucky we were in a hotel. I did not get altitude sickness. Took 1/2 dose of diamox and chewed on coca leaves. Great Job to you team at Active South America. Thanks so much.

The Galapagos Islands were magical for me - as awe inspiring and interesting as I always thought they would be. The amount of activities was just right, as well as staying on land rather than on a boat! I found the fauna most interesting, but also loved the geography of the islands and the volcano hike on Isabela Island. Daniel was a terrific and professional guide - very knowledgeable, interesting and passionate about taking care of the Galapagos. He grew up with a naturalist father and understands about the ecology, conservation, preservation, scientific research, and all that goes into maintaining the important balances of the islands. We also had a great group of people to travel with!

Not having any expectations about the tour... I was thoroughly amazed on how awesome it all went.
From having amazing guides, to top notch camping food... I wish the trip could have gone on for a few more weeks!
My computer space might not have agreed with me with the amount of pictures I took, but it was worth every penny!

The way Cynthia looked after our group made a trip of a lifetime outstanding. Every aspect of the trip over delivered on my expectations... mountains, jungle, lakes and lovely people. My only regret is that now I know what is on offer and don't have the time or money to do more trips!

Lots compressed into 4.5 days. Left us wanting more, yearning for longer in New Zealand! There's so much we didn't manage to see. Impeccable guiding, overcame our frustrations with the weather and not managing over the top at Tongarino; round the side almost as rewarding!

ACTIVE NZ Packs a lot into a 5 day adventure to include a couple huge trail hikes to include one about 23km (if you're willing), an exhilarating mountain bike tour, walking through some active thermal areas, and a tubing trip down a blackout cave. There are also some alternatives if you would like as well.... I opted to pay extra and do a full day guided fishing tour instead of the Tongariro pass and my wife decided to take the (free) alternative trip to the Polynesian Spa instead of Mountain Biking the Whakarewarewa Forest. Our guide, Grant, was not only a great guide and extremely knowledgeable he was a wonderful cook and made for good company on the hikes, he catered to the diverse needs of the group and was able to make everyone happy. He made arrangements for my guided fishing trip and took care of the rest of the group on their extra activities as well... a real logistician if you ask me!! The best part of the trip was definitely the camaraderie built within the group. A few friendships made for a lifetime!

Words cannot describe how much I loved this trip. The places I went, as well as the people I met... most of all my guide. My guide was the most caring, knowledgable, inspirational man I've met in a long time. He was amazing, and am proud to call him my friend after this once in a lifetime trip. The perfect trip. I can't say enough of my pleasure... and words cannot describe how the trip has changed my life. Thank you to everyone involved.

A well-organised trip in amongst the chaos that is Cuzco. How all our bags made it from one trip to another never ceased to amaze us!! Must of been the well-oiled team at Active South America :) Peru is a beautiful country with stunning scenery and very passionate people, especially when talking about their ancestors. This was especially so with our guides, Julio, Cynthia and Paula in the Amazon, who were all very knowledgeable. For all the Incas' incredible masonry skills, with perfect joints and geometry, the "****** Inca steps" (Julio's joke, which made us laugh) were a real challenge and will never be forgotten - a great holiday, thank you.
