If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go? New Zealand was always my answer. So it was a complete shock when my long time neighbor and friends, (Dennis & Linda) said "We're going to New Zealand, would you like to come along?" An even bigger shock was when I told Terry (The Hubby) and he said "Let's do it." I feel so lucky to have done an Active New Zealand trip and the luck just kept coming. No worries with our travels. Air New Zealand is the only way to fly. We meet two of the best Active Adventure guides. Ken and Louise were amazing. We had a large diverse group with a gazillion questions and they handled it all with a fantastic attitude. New Zealand is beautiful and wow did we get lucky with the weather. Even Milford Sound was clear blue skies with a nice wind. The Tui trip is an active way to cover a lot of territory. Wow, it went by way to fast. Thanks tons for the memories. Happy Trails Everybody

I wish that New Zealand would have more than 24 hours in the day so that I could do and see all of your beautiful country side; and all of the amazing activities that it has to offer.

Grant is a terrific guide (and cook!) who took great care of us. He is very knowledgeable and professional and has a great sense of humour. Anyone who can teach Stella how to mountain bike deserves a medal!

We had a very good time in South Island with the two Dans. They are lovely guys who took excellent care of us. The South Island scenery is spectacular and it surpassed our expectations.

We started out as a group of family and friends on what we thought would be the trip of a lifetime. The trip surpassed every expectation! Looks like we may have to do another Active trip at some point. So much for having just one trip of a lifetime!!! Our guides, Ken and Louise, were fun, friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They managed to cheer on the people who needed it, while keeping the other folks entertained and informed. They also kept us well fed and introduced us to to "Tim Tam Slams." Just as the name implies, this was indeed an active trip. We spent a lot of time hiking and climbing, virtually every day. We were lucky enough to see Fur Seals while we were kayaking in Milford Sound. We also had a fun, but jarring, bicycle ride. We'll never forget the washboard surface on Outlet Road! I would not hesitate to recommend this trip. Everything about it was awesome. Even the weather cooperated. I can't think of anything that needs to be changed...well, perhaps you could do away with the Sandflies?!?

This was a fantastic trip. The organisation was excellent, the guides were really great and the country itself lived up to all expectations. The balance between travelling, sight seeing and walking was just right for us and it would be very difficult to pack any more in to the time. Both Lofty and H (Heather) were good cooks, well informed about all our questions and fun company to be with. H said that she is coming to see a certain NZ rugby team lose to Wales in Cardiff; tell her to come and stay here.

New Zealand is so pure and pristine. I absolutely loved every "wee climb". Our tour guides (Ken and Louise) were the best. The scenery was breath taking. The weather was great, we could not have asked for better (we had about 1/2 hour of rain during our whole trip). I did not want to leave.

Trip great in sense that it is flawless executed and guides outstanding. However it turn out to be more water based and less hiking biking and kayaking and way more snorkel based than I had expected. I am way more into land than water based and would perhaps not have come if I had known real program. Also you should write that it is for confident swimmers only: I am not and that did take some enjoyment out of the trip. Again galakiwi are outstanding but your write up needs adjustment.

We're hikers, so we knew in general what to expect from a backpacking trek, but your mountains are higher than ours & we're not the youngest hikers around, so were a little aprehensive. We needen't have worried. our experience had prepared us well! The trails in Patagonia were some of the best we've encountered, especially considering that the treks in both Torres del Paine and Glaciares National Parks are extremely popular. No roots, rocks etc for the most part and only "scrambles" toward the end of one hike... AND we only packed our OWN clothes & food...no shared supplies added. The rewards were the most spectacular views we've ever seen!!! FANTASTIC! I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Our guides were knowledgeable, skilled, good-hearted, and great fun! Great group of people on the trip! Expect some very challenging hikes: 3,000 foot elevation gain and/or descent on rocky trails! Diverse landscapes over 1,600 miles of driving. Beautiful destinations!

Hiking through forests of fern trees, up to alpine meadows, and along pristine beaches allowed me to thoroughly enjoy the scenery - and gave me time to admire the fabulous plant life (my special interest).
