Active new Zealand is THE one company I am telling - and will continue to tell - everyone about. The office staff is tops; the guides are warm, welcoming, friendly, organized, and so very knowledgeable. The Tui trip, covering so much of the less populated part of New Zealand, gave me the beauty and physical activity I sought (with the bonus of not having to be in the midst of the madding crowd!). I loved everything about the trip! THANK YOU, Lauren, Magnus and all at Active New Zealand.

Most of my trips have been cycling but this is my 2nd multi-sport trip. The first was 9 years ago with Active New Zealand. I can't say enough about how enjoyable both were. This last one to the Galapagos was very special. I am now 72 and had some concerns but I was able to accomplish most of the planned outings. My favorite part was the snorkling. Although our leader Pepo was knowledgeable about all aspects of the trip, he was exceptional with the underwater creatures. I caught on quickly to stay close to him because he would spot the most camaflaged and hidden samples of natures wonders. I liked that we stayed on the islands. I also went body boarding. Pepo arranged to rent a board. I told him I wanted a good one and what he located was perfect. (I used to be good at bodyboarding in California but it had been a number of years since I did this.) Although we had to hike over 2 miles to the ocean, it was worth it. After kayaking in the morning then hiking and bodyboarding, I was really tired but such a special day.

I had an amazing time hiking and swimming in the sun all day for two weeks. Our guide, Ken, was superb. He would try really hard to find all of the best opportunities for us to enjoy ourselves. I have never been so happy as I've been on this trip.

I had a great time with only limitation related to weather. High winds and visibility did not allow us to walk Tongariro crossing. Grant was an awesome guide and introduced us to rugby. Incidentally, I did lose my reading glasses in case they are found. (brown frames in blue case, probably w ear plugs, eye cover when I removed them from backpack in Rotorua lodge). I would highly recommend this to a friend!

I had heard great things about hiking in Patagonia from several people. Turns out, I hadn't heard nearly the whole story. From start to finish, this was an amazing trip. The landscape and scenery is as good as it gets. Sweeping vistas of snow capped peaks, meandering rivers, colorful valleys, Condors riding the thermals, massive granite towers, glaciers and alpine lakes of jade and turquoise. It was the kind of trip which invigorates the body and spirit. The tour leader was amazing in every way. Sweet and caring and knowledgable and willing to do anything to make our time as enjoyable as possible. The hikes were definitely challenging, but the rewards were well worth the effort. Food and accommodations were top notch, even in the more remotes areas. We were lucky to be in a group of terrific people, but I think the natural beauty of the land and the tireless efforts of Cinthia, our guide, would have made the vacation awesome, no matter what.

The enchantment and beauty of the Himalayas is unrivaled! Every time that I stopped to catch my breath and look up, I was newly amazed at the awesome size and grandeur of the majestic mountains. At times the trek was difficult, but well worth the effort!

Active New Zealand is absolutely the best and then some. The knowledge, friendliness, attention to detail of each guide for each and every member of the group was incredible and superseded any expectations I had. The guides blended with members of the group at the same time keeping their professional position. I don't know how the Active South America can top New Zealand but I can't wait to find out. Thank you so very much for the wonderful memories

I heard the phrase 'awesome' used many time by our Guide Lauren on this trip, turns out to be more than apt in fact in my words stunning scenery, excellent trekking and damn good food! What more could one want. Flying into Siberia Valley; Jet Boat down the Wilkin; Kayak across Milford, trip of a lifetime -- no that's an understatement!

The tour enabled the group to get a great feel for the Patagonian region in a two week trip. Cynthia, the tour leader was great, ensuring the trip ran smoothly and catering for everyones needs: activity wise, diet wise and really made the trip! If you have a fortnight of annual leave to spare to explore Patagonia and want a stress free well organised tour, than I think your money is well spent on this trip.

I am a seasoned traveller, have lived on several continents, and have been on numerous solo adventures and also organized group tours. There is NO COMPARISON between my prior experiences and Active New Zealand. There is certainly no other lead guide like Ken Dixon in this world. He deserves to be paid in gold. My fiance and I didn't just get lucky with this trip, we won the freaking lottery. Sorry about that near-swear there, but I cannot emphasize enough that we could not have had a more spectacular adventure with the perfect blend of comfort, challenge, adrenaline, fresh air, gorgeous weather, endless vistas, and - because of Ken - delicious soy products galore. Did I mention how lucky we were? Especially with me being vegetarian and lactose-intolerant, I was assuming nothing more than Ramen Noodles for 14 days straight. Hello!? Ken is not only an expert in multiple extreme sports, identifying flora and fauna, a wealth of information on history, a keen card player, has the energy of a teenager, the professionalism of a business owner, but he also happens to be a vegan gourmet chef. Heaven. I would recommend this trip to anyone who is seeking an adventure in a paradise.
