Prior to our trip I'd searched all over the internet for New Zealand touring companies, and the decision had come down to Active NZ I was so glad we've chosen this company and couldn't imagine any better alternative.
My father and I could barely call ourselves hikers since we've never quite done anything quite like this before, but with the passion for outdoor activities plus NZ breath-taking sceneries, we thought we would give it a try. And we were not let down.
Ken and Dan, our guides, were extremely friendly and enthusiastic. Oftentimes, they were had made major adjustments to the original plan to make the journey the best experience for everybody. For example, because of his age, my father had to opt out of the Copland trail, the longest on the trip, with few others. Ken and Dan accommodated that by separating us into two groups, which was not initially the plan. They were definitely two of the greatest guides we have ever had.
Five other members in the group came from different parts of the world and they were all awesome people who were willing to share personal experiences and anecdotes with each other.
It was a fantastic NZ experience we couldn't have asked for more from Active.
