Besides being in one of the most interesting and exceptional places in the world to visit, I have to give praise to the Active team for organizing each day to maximize the unique offerings of the Galapagos. For nine days, from the time we got off the plane in Quito to our last group dinner, every hotel, meal, air, boat and van transfers was perfectly coordinated for each of our very active days. Active South America did not disappoint with the daily activities - hiking, biking, kayaking and snorkeling with sharks, sea turtles and a Galapagos penguin- interspersed with the teachings and viewings of history, geology, biology and preservation by our superior guide, Pablo, who accompanied us each day from breakfast until dinner. This really was the best run organized trip I have ever taken thanks to Nick, Tim, Krystal, Jessica and Pablo.

It was a great adventure. Pushed you to limits and abilities I do not normally do.
Very well planned and organized, but still a lot of flexibility. Especially as we had a smaller group.

Everything about it was great. Cynthia was brilliant. knowledgable and made everything run smoothly. And the other guides are also brilliant. If anyone has any doubts, I would say don't worry and just book!!! My kids loved every minute from the jungle to Lake Titicaca. Two complaints...... 1) it wasn't long enough!!! Could have done with another 2 weeks, and 2) Cynthia taught my kids some more card games and I no longer win. :(. Chatted to my kids about the review to put down the top ten highlights and could not agree on less than fourty!!!

It was quite an adventure with so many memories. The guides were fun and always there to help. It was entertaining and educational with just the right amount of heart-stopping moments. Great dining. Perfect coffee every morning. Camaraderie with our group. I appreciate all the hard work by everyone who planned it and a special thanks to Marlene Heineman who went above and beyond as trip leader.

Our Capybara trip was a fantastic family vacation! Each and every one of us enjoyed the entire experience. The diversity of Peru was amazing and we savored it. Our guide Cynthia was awesome and an essential ingredient to the trip's success. I would recommend the Active South America Capybara trip to everyone (and have been since we got back home).

I just wanted to thank your company and especially our trip leader, Cynthia Valladares, for making my Peruvian adventure so exciting and complete. I researched several companies prior to making my final decision and I know that I made the absolute best choice. I was the "odd man out" on this trip that included two families of four with children of approximately the same ages - 10 to 13. I was graciously adopted by one of the families and Cynthia was also a great friend and took the time to give me a private tour of Cuzco while the families did their own thing. I can't thank you enough for my Bucket List's success.

I really enjoyed the trip to the Galapagos. Our guide, Zambo, was really good. When I got sick on Isabella, Crystal was a great help. The snorkeling was really enjoyable. I missed out on the hike to the volcano

This was an amazing trip, which was exactly as advertised. Probably one of the best holidays I have ever had. I have never been to New Zealand before and chose the Winter Rimu Trip as I was looking for an active holiday somewhere cold. From the moment I arrive in Christchurch I knew this was going to be an experience I was going to enjoy and I wasn't wrong. We were met by the two lively guides, Mike and Jac, who made everyone feel welcome and relaxed from the outset. It wasn't long before we passing through beautiful countryside and starting out adventures. Two weeks of tramping, skiing, kayaking, good food and good company. It was, however, a trip that you need to be fit for as there was some serious tramping, particularly in the second week, so a reasonable level of fitness and stamina is required.

Having traveled/camped around the world in many other geographies, I would rate this NZ trip and Active protocols at the top of my travel list. We had a smaller group 7 then 5 plus our wonderful guides Mike and Jac...chemistry was good. Weather fit the trip. Level of difficulty and encouragement excellent!

Awesome plus. It was in fact a trip of a lifetime, I have nothing but positives to say about the Active leaders, the events, lodging and food. Bepos (tour naturalist) was the best guide I have ever encountered - in over 70 years.
